Beautiful Vancouver is the starting point for this two-week circular tour that showcases the national parks of the Canadian Rockies.

Eastbound from Vancouver, the itinerary ventures through the Okanagan Valley, Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper national parks. Drive west from Jasper through the Yellowhead Pass, Wells Gray Provincial Park and Garibaldi Provincial Park before returning to Vancouver.

  • Day 1 Vancouver

    Arrive in Vancouver International Airport where you’ll commence proceedings by picking up your rental car and driving to your conveniently located, central downtown hotel. You’ll be given a full travel itinerary and map of the route at reception when you check in and be given the rest of the day to relax in the plush surroundings of the Coast Plaza Hotel and prepare for the exciting road trip ahead.

  • Day 2 Vancouver

    Full day in Vancouver and surrounding area. Climb aboard a San Francisco-style trolley for a fully commented Vancouver city tour. Sightsee at your own pace as you hop-on and hop-off for a length of time at many premier attractions, parks , gardens, galleries and restaurants.

  • Day 3 Vancouver to Penticton (395KM)

    Day Three sees the road-trip transition into second gear with a journey through the Coastal Mountains and Manning Provincial Park. In the park, you can take a walk on the remnants of the old Dewdney Trail or choose the Rhododendron Flats. The historic town of Penticton lies at the lower end of Okanagan Lake and the lush, fruitful orchards and vineyards of the Okanagan Valley. This region is renowned for its beaches and hot, dry climate, so be sure to pack the sun screen! We also recommend a visit to the 560-acre Okanagan Game Farm near Penticton.

  • Day 4 Penticton to Revelstoke (260KM)

    The morning is at your own leisure to enjoy the Okanagan Valley in its full splendour. Early afternoon sees a drive past some truly spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and beautiful lakes en route to the Revelstoke area .

  • Day 5 Revelstoke to Banff (280KM)

    Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque surroundings of Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass en route to Canada's oldest national park and the bustling, modern resort town of Banff.

  • Day 6 Banff

    Enjoy an entire day to take in the beauty of Banff and the surrounding area. We highly recommended a visit to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls and taking ride the Sulphur Mountain Gondola. You may also want to try river rafting or a boat tour on Lake Minnewanka, the selection here is phenomenal!

  • Day 7 Banff to Jasper (285KM)

    Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. A stopover at Peyto Lake is recommended and an Ice Explorer ride on the Columbia Icefield is a must!

  • Day 8 Jasper National Park

    You’ll have a full day to relax and tour the charming town of Jasper and the surrounding area on Day 8 of your Canadian park adventure. We strongly suggest a ride on the Jasper Tramway along with a visit to Miette Hot Springs. If time permits, the Athabasca River offers exciting white-water rafting excursions.

  • Day 9 Asper to 100 Mile House (465KM)

    Drive through the Yellowhead Pass, running adjacent to the imposing Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies, and continue south along the Thompson River, skirting the perimeter of Wells Gray Provincial Park. We’d highly recommend stopovers in both Clearwater and Blue River en route to 100 Mile House, where you’ll spend the night in the tranquil surroundings of the New 108 Resort.

  • Day 10 100 Mile House

    100 Mile House was founded during the good ol’ days of the Cariboo Gold Rush, when a roadhouse was built to service bright-eyed gold seekers heading to the goldfields for a slice of fortune. These early pioneers travelled along the Cariboo Wagon Road, starting in Lillooet and frequently stopping at the infamous roadhouse that has since become known as 100 Mile House. Nowadays, the area is best known y for its prime cattle ranching and leisure activities, of which we’re sure you’re bound to enjoy!

  • Day 11 100 Mile House to Whistler (300KM)

    Enjoy a relaxing drive south along the Cariboo Highway and Duffey Lake Road to the edge of Garibaldi Provincial Park where you’ll land in the ever-popular year-round ski resort of Whistler, BC.

  • Day 12 Whistler

    Enjoy some time out to relax and unwind before enjoying a plethora of exhilarating outdoor activities that tickle your fancy such as hiking, sailing, windsurfing, golfing, tennis and boating, as well as some excellent shopping outlets in and around Whistler Village.

  • Day 13 Whistler to Vancouver (125KM)

    On the penultimate day of your epic Canadian parks tour, take the morning grab breakfast, go for a stroll and visit the village attractions before an idyllic two-hour drive back to Vancouver. Leave the evening free to soak up the atmosphere around the city, to get some last-minute shopping in or sample the fine cuisine and laid back nightlife that the vibrant, multicultural Vancouver has to offer its visitors from all around the world. Spend your last night near Vancouver airport at the Pacific Gateway Hotel.

  • Day 14 Vancouver

    Check out of the Pacific Gateway, return your rental car at Vancouver International Airport and check in for your departure flight back home to Dublin. Something many visitors to this part of the world habitually find themselves doing once they’ve boarded and settled on their return flight home is sifting back through the amazing portfolio of photos they’ve accrued over the past fortnight and start planning their next trip to Canada with a smile!
