Starting in Salt Lake City, Utah, you’ll have two days to admire this beautiful city and its surroundings before getting your rental car. The city boasts several options for outdoor adventures in its canyons and mountains, including cycling, golfing, renting a quadbike and skiing. Let’s not forget the Great Salt Lake, which supplies the town with scenic views and loads of water activities.
On day 3, your road trip begins! Onto Vernal, Utah, a.k.a. Dinosaurland! There, you’ll have the chance to explore The Dinosaur National Monument, a massive area filled with fossils, canyons and digging sites. One of the top destinations in the world for prehistoric enthusiasts. Continue your journey heading to Jackson Hole, entering the state of Wyoming. You’ll have two days to enjoy the region’s incredible outdoors, including Grand Teton National Park and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, with its world-class skiing and snowboarding facilities.
Next, you’re on to West Yellowstone. The closest city to America’s first National Park will allow you to smoothly explore the stunning geysers, canyons, lush forests and hot springs. You may also witness the park’s wildlife first-hand and visit famous touristic attractions like The Old Faithful.
Moving on to Idaho, you’ll continue your trip reaching the beautiful Snake River and canyon. In Idaho Falls, take a stroll over the River Walk as you walk by the Historic Downtown or visit some of the restaurants and shops around. Your last stop is Twin Falls, where you can admire the incredible Shoshone Falls – the Niagara of the West! The region is also perfect for kayaking and exploring the canyons!
