You’ll soon reach the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, where you can choose optional excursions or simply enjoy the grounds of your lovely lodge for the day. Be sure to check out Fannie Q’s Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader, or sit outside at a fireside patio. Next morning you’ll explore Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour, watching for glimpses of Denali as well as Denali’s “Big Five”; moose, caribou, bears, wolves and Dall sheep.
In the afternoon, board a motor coach for your journey along the George Parks Highway to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. You may catch views of incredible Denali along the way. Sit and gaze at the majesty of “The Great One” – North America’s greatest peak – from the lodge’s treehouse designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. Next morning, you’re free to relax at the lodge or choose one of many optional excursions. You’ll continue by motorcoach to Anchorage, for an overnight, where your tour ends.
