Fly direct to Seattle from Dublin with Aer Lingus and embark on a fantastic Alaska cruise onboard Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas.
Your holiday to America beings with a two night city break in Seattle. Explore the sights of the Emerald City such as the iconic Space Needle that dominates the city skyline, Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and Pike Place Market, a foodies dream!
Then it’s time to set sail on your cruise to Alaska. Your first full day is spent at sea and you should use this time to explore the fantastic Quantum of the Seas, and pay a visit to the North Star glass pod which towers at 90ft above sea level offering guests stunning panoramic views of the unspoiled Alaska scenery.
Your first stop in Alaska will be Juneau where you can head straight back out to sea on a seafaring safari to spot humpback and orca whales, seals and sea lions or go tundra trekking over Mendenhall Glacier. No matter what kind of Alaska adventure you’re craving, you’ll find it in your next port of call – Icy Strait Point. Here you can go fishing or whale watching, experience Native Alaska culture, go on a nature hike, explore Chichagof Island by ATV or soar over the rainforests on the longest zipline in the world.
Your cruise continues through scenic Endicott Arm Fjord ends with a front-row view of the stunning Dawes Glacier. Standing over 600 feet tall and a half-mile wide, this very active icecap is known for its spectacular calving displays which produce huge, chunky icebergs that float in area waters. Keep on eye out on the shoreline where you might spot brown bears, bald eagles, sea ducks, deer, moose and wolves.
Next up is the city of Victoria in Canada known for its abundant parkland and huge range of outdoor activities available before sailing back to Seattle where your cruise ends.
