Discover the stunning landscapes of Western Canada onboard the Rocky Mountaineer! This is a train journey soaring through the Rockies’ peaks like no other. But that’s not all this holiday to Canada has to offer! Begin with three nights in Vancouver before joining this tour where you will enjoy visits to Kamloops, Banff and Calgary.
On your trip to Vancouver be sure to take in some of the best sights the city has to offer. Pay a visit to Stanley Park and enjoy the wildlife, monuments, sculptures, and beautiful gardens surrounding you. Vancouver is famous for whale watching – spot orca whales or migrating whales or go by seaplane to Victoria. A day trip to Whistler is also highly recommended!
You will then board the Rocky Mountaineer and travel to Banff through Kamloops. On the journey, you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC interior. Once you arrive in Banff, adventure awaits on the Icefields and national parks. Explore the natural wonders of Yoho National Park and take in the stunning scenery of Banff National Park. We highly recommend the panoramic helicopter tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies!
Travelling on the Rocky Mountaineer you’ll enjoy the Goldleaf Service, where you can indulge your senses with gourmet meals prepared by Executive Chefs and expansive views through the panoramic windows of a bi-level glass dome coach to the Canadian Rockies.
