Set off on the holiday of a lifetime to Canada in 2020 with this fantastic package that combines a rail tour through the Rocky Mountains, Canadian and USA city breaks and an Alaskan cruise.
You’ll begin your Canada holiday in Calgary where you will join your Rocky Mountaineer group and depart on a journey that will take in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Kamloops. Highlights will include a panoramic helicopter tour in Banff, tours of many stunning national parks, a ride on an ice explorer at the Columbia Icefield to the Athabasca Glacier, all against the backdrop of stunning natural scenery.
In Jasper you will board the Rocky Mountaineer and travel through the Rocky Mountains to Kamloops. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains.
Your second day on Rocky Mountaineer will take you from Kamloops to Vancouver. On this journey west, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.
Your journey with Rocky Mountaineer will end in Vancouver where you will have two nights to explore this harbourfront city before boarding Celebrity Cruise’s Celebrity Solstice ship and embark on the next part of your adventure, an 8 night Alaskan cruise. Stops in Skagway and Alaska’s capital Juneau will give you the chance to explore more of mainland Alaska before travelling past Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier on the way back to Seattle where your cruise will end but you still have two more nights to explore this gem of a city.
