Chicago, Boston & Washington DC

3 NIGHTS Chicago • 3 NIGHTS Boston • 3 NIGHTS Washington DC

Visit three of America’s most famous cities on this incredible holiday to East Coast USA. You’ll start your holiday to America in the historic university city of Boston before heading to Chicago on the stunning shores of Lake Michigan and lastly to the Nation’s capital, historic and beautiful city of Washington DC.

Start your holiday in Boston, the perfect city to explore on foot, dotted with hip and trendy neighbourhoods, modern sky scrapers and historic monuments all within easy walking distance of one another. Explore Boston Common which holds the distinction of being the oldest park in America, unsurprising as Boston is a city steeped in history. One great way to explore Boston is to follow the Freedom Trail. Starting at Boston Common the 2.5-mile (4km) trail links 16 historic sights associated with the early struggle for freedom from British control and the events leading up to the American revolution.

Chicago, a city that is steeped in some of America’s richest history and yet it maintains a lively, energetic atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the world. Chicago is famous for its proximity to the water, thanks to its location on the banks of Lake Michigan. A great way to see the city is by boat; many river boats operate like tour buses with some fantastic ‘hop on, hop off‘ stops.

Washington DC’s unforgettable skyline is marked by some of the world’s most iconic landmarks. The White House, the Capitol Building and the National Mall. Visit the Lincoln Memorial and the world-renowned museums of the Smithsonian Institute. Washington’s newest museum, the International Spy Museum, features the largest collection of publicly displayed international espionage artefacts in the world. Washington is a city of history but it also buzzes with lively cafes and restaurants, great shopping and lots of fun things to do. The Georgetown neighbourhood is home to some of the city’s most notable residents, and of course, culinary gems waiting to be discovered. Food lovers will relish a visit to Georgetown where you can stroll off-the-beaten path and find delicious treats at the local eateries.
