A holiday to America that combines a fantastic stay on the West Coast and cruise holiday is the perfect choice for lots of holidaymakers. California, the Golden State is famous for its year round sun while Hawaii regularly appears in ‘best places to visit’ lists from travel writers across the world, thanks to miles of stunning beaches, great water sports and the welcoming Hawaiian people. You will then board Princess Cruise Line’s Royal Princess for a 15 night cruise around the Hawaiian islands.
Your holidays begins with 3 nights in the waterfront city of San Francisco where you can take in such attractions as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Fisherman’s Wharf.
You will then board Royal Princess and embark on a 15 night Hawaiian cruise. You’ll visit Oahu and visit Hawaii’s biggest city where you can visit plenty of shops and sample some local cuisine. You’ll also visit Kahului, the main city in Maui, home to great shopping, galleries and attractions like the Maui Arts & Culture Center. Set against the backdrop of the 10,000ft high Mt Haleakal, Kahului is also home to some spectacular views, black and white sand beaches and beautiful exotic flowers.
Next stop will be Hilo, the Big Island’s most topical town. It sits right between Mauna Lea, the largest volcano on the planet, and Mauna Kea, the only volcano whose top is covered in ice, so when it comes to amazing sightseeing you’re in the right place. You’ll then sail to Nawiliwili, a beautiful picturesque harbour, gateway to what many consider to be the most beautiful Hawaiian island, boasting the dramatic mountains of Kokee to the cool rainforests of Haena before sailing back to Honolulu where your cruise ends.
