Best Family Cruises

Jump onboard a spectacular cruise ship with the family and explore multiple destinations in one holiday! A family cruise makes moving from place to place easy, enjoyable and fun. Your holiday starts the moment you step onboard and does not stop until you have swished down all the waterslides, eaten at every fabulous restaurant and had a drink at every one of the bustling bars. Here is a selection of the best family cruises, according to our travel expert Astrid.

Royal Caribbean Cruise

A Royal Caribbean Cruise caters to everyone’s idea of extraordinary, where you and the kids can enjoy buckets of fun. Go and take on the Rock Wall, catch a wave on the FlowRider, splash around in the H2O Zone water park, or whizz down the zip line on one of Royal Caribbean’s magnificent cruise liners! These jaw-dropping activities are included in the price of your action-packed holiday.

If mom or dad are after some relaxation they can retreat to the spa for a bit of top-to-toe pampering. Alternatively, find the nearest sun-drenched lounge and just relax with your favourite book and cocktail, watching your next destination appear over the horizon.

Disney Cruise Line

If you want to visit and explore numerous destinations, enjoy a variety of onboard activities for all ages and have a hassle-free time while you are being taken care of 24 hours a day, then the Disney Cruise Line is the perfect choice for you.

Along with first-class entertainment, you’ll also enjoy travelling to ports where you can explore on many excursions. Disney Cruise Line provides the level of service that only Disney can deliver, and there is a whole host of magical elements that make up your Disney Cruise.

Stunning vessels that pay homage to the grand era of the luxury ocean liner, Disney’s four distinguished ships pamper guests with state-of-the-art comforts, legendary service and Disney-exclusive activities.

Each magnificent ship is filled with restaurants, nightclubs, shops and recreational facilities that make cruising a pleasure for guests of all ages.

MSC Cruises

Given that it is a family-owned business, it is to be expected that MSC Cruises’ liners have been created with families in mind.  With water slides, cinemas, game rooms and kids clubs you can be assured that your children will be constantly entertained while on board.

To give you added peace of mind during your time at sea, your kids will be issued with security bracelets – you can also rent beepers or DECT phones if you want to be able to keep in touch at all times.

Bringing a tiny tot along? MSC Cruises offer a BabyCare service which will give you the chance for some much-needed relaxation time.

Favourite Destination: I couldn't contain my excitement when Royal Caribbean launched Harmony of the Seas, currently the largest ship in the world! Our seven day Eastern Caribbean cruise itinerary boarded from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and included The Bahamas, St. Marten and St. Thomas which were pretty spectacular to see. There is so much to experience on board Harmony of the Seas for all age groups. If you're feeling adventurous you can attempt the Rock Climbing Wall or Zip-Line from one side of the ship to the other or if you have never surfed before why not jump on the FlowRider surf simulator!
