Montréal and Dominican Republic

One of our favourite twin-centre destinations has to be Montréal and Dominican Republic. Canada has so much to offer, from fantastic natural beauties to vibrant and cultural cities, making it a perfect combination with the tropical atmosphere you’ll find in the Dominican Republic.

The largest city in Canada’s Quebec region, situated on the banks of the St Lawrence River, Montréal was formed by the blend of French and British influences that gave rise to exuberant creativity, reflected in the festive fizz of endless cultural goings-on. Place Jacques-Cartier, next to City Hall, and Place d’Armes, which faces the Notre Dame Basilica — a place of worship renowned for its breathtaking interiors — are absolute must-see spots in Old Montréal. The quays of the Old Port whose star attraction is the Montréal Science Centre, offer a host of activities, including the highly popular river excursions. The Botanical Garden, second-largest in the world, provides a lush green setting for the Insectarium. Mid-river, Parc Jean-Drapeau, home to the popular amusement park La Ronde and the Casino, attracts visitors looking for good times.

The second part of the trip leaves nothing to be desired! A visit to the Dominican Republic is all about fun and sun. A laid-back, relaxed vibe runs throughout the island, from the local bars, restaurants and beaches to the resort hot spots. We highly recommend a visit to Santo Domingo as one of the best things to do on a visit to the Dominican Republic. The historic centre has amazing architecture, world-class museums and unique old-world charm.
Water sports are very popular and one of the top things to do in the Dominican Republic, with all those beautiful beaches and azure blue waters it’s no wonder! Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP), snorkelling, sea kayaking and diving are popular. There are some well-populated reefs around the island with sharks, rays, tropical fish, and lots of other colourful marine life to be discovered.

Orlando, Miami & Mexico

Known as the ‘sunshine state’ thanks to the year-round warm climate and miles of beautiful beaches, Florida is a popular destination for a multi-centre holiday. Start your holiday in Orlando, and experience the world-famous attractions, the exhilarating rides and the amazing entertainment in the Theme Park Capital of the World. You’ll then head to the bright lights and beautiful beaches of America’s favourite holiday destination, Miami, before heading to the Caribbean to finish off your holiday in style in Mexico.

Orlando is a city jam-packed with theme parks and activities that will keep you entertained all day long. Universal Orlando Resort has three thrilling theme parks, Volcano Bay, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios for you to explore and test your nerves out on thrilling roller coasters. A visit to Walt Disney World is also a must do on your holiday to Orlando. Catch up with your favourite Disney characters, splash about in the waterparks and of course witness the iconic firework display at Cinderella’s castle.

From Orlando, travel south to continue your Florida holiday in Miami, famous for its Art Deco architecture, Latino vibe and South Beach, the “American Riviera”. There is so much to see and do in Miami. Explore Little Havana, home to a large Cuban community. Hang out with the trendsetters and enjoy some shopping in Coconut Grove, or join the sun lovers on one of Miami’s famous white sandy beaches.

After all those thrills, its time to head to Mexico to relax under the Caribbean sun. Cancun is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Mexico, as it boasts a 22km strip that has white sandy beaches on one side and shopping malls and a vibrant night life on the other. As you travel further down the coast, the resorts you can chose to stay in tend to be in more secluded and quiet, with shimmering pools and splendid private beaches where you can take a dip in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea.
