The Rocky Mountains are a mountain range in the US and Canada. They are part of a huge stretch of mountains called the Western Cordillera. The highest peak in the Rockies is Mount Elbert, which is 14,440ft (4,401m) above sea level. The Rockies are made up of at least 100 separate ranges.

Throughout the National Park (RMNP) and Estes Park, you can find moose, bears, elk, bighorn sheep, bobcats, mountain lions, deer, coyotes, marmots, pikas, and numerous birds. The Park also offers a lot to do for those who aren’t big fans of hiking. Drive one of the highest roads in the USA, spot wildlife, walk the easier trails around scenic lakes and waterfalls, and be amazed at the beauty here and a joy to explore.
