This cruise and stay holiday starts off with 2 nights in New York before you board Princess Cruises Regal Princess for a 5 night cruise through New England and the east coast of Canada.
Although most of New York’s iconic attractions are very familiar to visitors from seeing them in movies or on television, nothing compares to experiencing them first hand. Take the Staten Island Ferry and sail past the Statue of Liberty. Visit Ellis Island and discover the history of the immigrants who flocked to the new world. Stroll through the West Village or relax in leafy Central Park. Visits to The Met and the Guggenheim museums are also highly recommended for culture vultures. New York has so much to offer, there is always something to see or do. Take in as much of New York as you can before you board Regal Princess for your 5 night cruise.
The first day on your cruise will be spent at sea sailing past New England and up to Halifax in Nova Scotia where your first stop will be. Halifax is the largest city in Canada’s Atlantic Provinces, where you can enjoy such on-shore excursions as a trip to Peggy’s Cove, a hop-on hop-off bus tour of Halifax or a historic sites scenic drive. From there the cruise will continue to Saint John and the Bay of Fundy where a scenic coastal drive on-shore excursion is highly recommended. From there you will sail back down the New England coastline to New York where your cruise will finish.
New York - Ride on the Staten Island Ferry. It's free and the view is wonderful.
