Chicago for St Patrick's Day

4 NIGHTS Chicago

Come and explore Windy City, a town situated on the shores of Lake Michigan famed for the iconic skyscrapers that dot the skyline and home to world-class museums, the famous deep dish pizza and the Cubs, Bears and Bulls sports teams, you’ll be spoiled for choice of things to do in this fantastic city.

Experience the excitement of the famous St Patrick’s Day Parade, take a stroll along the Chicago River, where the water is dyed green in honour of the holiday, or explore the city’s rich Irish heritage at the Irish American Heritage Center.

Another great way to see the city is by boat; many river boats operate like tour buses with some fantastic ‘hop on, hop off‘ stops. If you’re looking for a view from above, the Skydeck Chicago in Willis Tower and the 360 Chicago at John Hancock Center are the go-to options!

Visit the Field Museum of Natural History on Lake Shore Drive to say hello to ‘Sue’, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil ever found – the kids will love it!

Keep in mind the annual parade always happens on the Saturday before St Patrick’s Day – unless the 17h is on a Saturday, then it happens on that day. Our personal travel planners will help you plan accordingly to make sure you make the most of this unique city in your next holiday to America!
