Beautiful Vancouver is the starting point for this two-week Canadian Rockies self-drive holiday that showcases the national parks of the Canadian Rockies. Eastbound from Vancouver, the itinerary ventures through the Okanagan Valley, Glacier National Park, and Banff and Jasper national parks. Drive west from Jasper through the Yellowhead Pass, Wells Gray Provincial Park and Garibaldi Provincial Park before returning to Vancouver.

Fly to Vancouver where you will check into your first hotel and spend the following day sightseeing in the city at your leisure on your hop-on hop-off tour. On day 3 it’s time to jump in the car and hit the road! Your self-drive holiday from Vancouver begins with a drive to Penticton through the Coastal Mountains and Manning Provincial Park where there are plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs in the stunning surroundings of the National Parks as you go along. You’ll continue into the Okanagan Valley, home to spectacular waterfalls, towering peaks and beautiful lakes as you travel to Revelstoke and from there to the stunning Banff.

This self-drive itinerary allows time for a full day to explore the stunning Banff National Park where we would encourage you to engage in the hiking or river sports available before driving on to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Another full day is allotted to Jasper National Park and the surrounding area.

Drive along the Yellowhead Pass on your way to 100 Mile House an area known for cattle ranching and leisure activities before getting back on the Yellowhead Pass, driving past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies to Whistler. You’ll have time for one full day in Whistler before returning to Vancouver where your self-drive holiday to Canada ends.
