This holiday to America combines a stay in Nashville, spiritual home of country music fans and performers across the globe with the bright lights and entertainment of Las Vegas.

Nashville is a Mecca for music fans. Visit Opryland the home of the world-famous country music show, the Grand Ole Opry. No visit to Nashville is complete without attending one of these shows in person. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum features a permanent exhibition ‘Sing Me Back Home’, a journey through the history of country music, featuring a rich collection of historical costumes, memorabilia, instruments, photographs and manuscripts.

Away from the music scene visitors can explore the Belle Meade Plantation, which features a carefully restored 1853 Greek Revival mansion. Visitors can see the authentic Civil War bullet holes that riddle the old mansion’s pillars. One of the oldest houses in Tennessee, a log cabin built in 1790, is also on the estate. East of Nashville lies the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a designated International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site where visitors can enjoy outdoor recreational pursuits and uncover the past thanks to the historic structures left behind by early southern Appalachian farming families.

Las Vegas awaits, and the Strip, famous for its opulent casinos and hotels is a great place to start exploring. Try your luck at the blackjack table of the Mirage or roll the dice at The MGM Grand. Las Vegas hotels are a tourist attraction in themselves, check out the impressive fountain show at the Bellagio or take a gondola ride at The Venetian. If gambling is not your cup of tea, there is still plenty to see and do. Enjoy the world class entertainment of a Las Vegas show, whether it’s a concert, cabaret or comedy there is entertainment to suit all tastes. Further afield the Grand Canyon is the perfect daytrip and something everyone should see at least once in their lifetime!
