There is so much to see and do in Miami, explore the sultry neighbourhood of Little Havana, home to a large Cuban community. Hang out with the trendsetters in Coconut Grove, or join the sun lovers on one of Miami’s famous white sandy beaches. Miami nightlife is sophisticated and varied. The South Beach streets team with clubs and bars, the Design District and Coconut Grove are also hot spots for partygoers. With everything from cocktail bars and comedy shows to lounges and nightclubs, one night in Miami would never be long enough.

For a cruise holiday that promises equal parts fun and relaxation then choose to travel on the stunning Norwegian Sky. Feel the sun on your back and the sea breeze on your face at one of the two large outdoor swimming pools, you can swim, relax in a hot tub or grab some refreshments at the longest poolside bar at sea. Grab some quiet time and a good book while enjoying the unprecedented views in the Mark Twain Library or take your clubs and perfect your swing at one of the golf driving nets. The Zone is an exclusive teenagers area where they can hangout and play games during the day and dance at night at the teens-only disco. While the younger ones will love the Kid’s Korner where they can do arts and crafts, play or watch a movie. And make sure you pack your appetite when embarking on this cruise as there is a great and varied choice of restaurants and eateries. Take in the stunning view and some great Italian cuisine at Il Adagio or enjoy an al fresco omelette at The Great Outdoors. Cagney’s Steakhouse has some amazing Black Angus T-bones and their truffle fries are nearly worth the trip alone. Once you have eaten your fill enjoy a cocktail at Dazzles Nightclub and dance the night away or if you prefer a more sedate vibe then visit the Plantation Club and choose from the selection of fine wines.

The Norwegian Sky is known to have the ultimate happy hour, sailing out of Miami at 5pm every Friday. Join everyone for a welcome cocktail and once the sun goes down, Dazzles becomes a disco so you might still be there until the early hours!

Famous for its year-round sunshine and miles of white sand beaches, Miami’s a great place to soak up some rays. Chill out in chic South Beach with its pastel-painted art deco buildings and people watching pavement cafés, or head inland to the swamps of the Everglades, where alligator watching is more the thing.

Although Columbus passed this way, it was the British who made their mark on New Providence island building forts to protect their possessions from pirates. Some things don’t change and you could still find treasure snorkelling for pearls at Pearl Island; but some things do and on aptly named Paradise Island, discover Atlantis, one of the most fantastic resort hotels imaginable.

Great Stirrup Cay is NCL’s private Bahamian island, home to sandy beaches, palm trees and clear waters in a peaceful cove… and you, for one day of sheer beachside indulgence. Snooze the day away in a hammock, enjoy an island barbecue, take out a kayak or sailboat and check out the local inhabitants – schools of madly colourful fish – on a guided snorkelling tour over the reef.
