This cruise and stay holiday to South Africa is truly a bucket list trip! Combining three nights in Cape Town with a 12-night cruise around the stunning South African coast.

Your journey begins in Cape Town, where you will have one night to relax before boarding Azamara Pursuit for your sensational South African cruise. On this cruise holiday, your first stop is Port Elizabeth. Discover the Port’s storied history while walking the Donkin Heritage Trail, dig your toes in the sand at beautiful Hobie Beach, or escape to the animal sanctuary of Addo Elephant National Park — home to the densest population of elephants in the world.

Next up is East London, a charming town of 19th-century architecture with a vibrant cultural scene and some of the best beaches to soak up the golden African sun on. Between the Buffalo and Nahoon Rivers, East London is a gateway to breathtaking wildlife safaris and the Amatola Mountains inland. Then it’s onto Maputo in Mozambique, a bustling city of modern cultures. In Old Town, discover incredible parks, restaurants, markets and cafes, and stroll along the coastline for stunning panoramic vistas of the Indian Ocean and some of the most beautiful beaches.

From there, you’ll pay a late-night stay in Richards Bay, where you can experience South Africa’s rugged coastline, pristine beaches, and mist-covered hills. Here you’ll take part in a safari in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, a protected home to the largest rhino population in the world, along with the famous Big Five animals. There’s time for one last stop in Durban, a city that thrives against the backdrop of golden sand beaches, majestic mountain ranges and valleys. Visit its famous Victoria Street Market or take a once-in-a-lifetime tour of traditional Zulu homesteads before sailing back to Cape Town for two more nights to enjoy at your own pace.

While onboard, spend the day sailing in style in your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at the fitness centre, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck. In the evening, savour inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.
