Nashville is one of the top tourism spots in the country–and the world, for that matter. And it’s for good reason. Aside from being a music mecca, it’s teeming with cultural landmarks, outdoor activities, amazing food, professional sports, and other things to do that make Nashville truly unique.
Nashville is the capital of the U.S. state of Tennessee and home to Vanderbilt University. Legendary country music venues include the Grand Ole Opry House, home of the famous “Grand Ole Opry” stage and radio show. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and historic Ryman Auditorium are Downtown, as is the District, featuring honky-tonks with live music and the Johnny Cash Museum, celebrating the singer’s life
The museum also houses several temporary exhibitions which feature Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Away from the music scene visitors can explore the 1853 Greek Revival mansion at Belle Meade Plantation. East of Nashville lies the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a designated International Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage Site.
