What to Expect


Disney’s Grand Floridian is known as the jewel in the crown of the Walt Disney World® Resort. A Victorian themed hotel located on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, it is a grand and elegant hotel. A monorail arrives next to the lobby to transport guest to the Magic Kingdom® Park and Epcot®. Bell-service attendants greet guests at the door and lead them through to the beautiful lobby with its spectacular Victorian ceiling and three illuminated stained glass domes. Guest rooms are housed in the main building and in four and five story white frame houses located around the swimming pool. The whole resort exudes a romantic Victorian ambience with fine dining beautifully landscaped grounds.

Amenity Highlights


Two of Disney’s finest restaurants are situated at the Grand Floridian, and serve fine dining and gourmet food that will tantalise your taste buds. For children wishing to get up close to Disney characters this is the perfect place as Cinderella can be found at the Park Fare Buffet, during story time in the evenings. Breakfast is with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter who are all happy to pose for photographs with the hotel guests. A pristine beach stretches along the waterfront, where old-fashioned beach umbrellas can be found decorating the white sand. In 2007 Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was listed on the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List of the world’s best places to stay.

Property / Local Amenities
There are a great number of fantastic amenities located at the Disney’s Grand Floridian, from fine dining to relaxing in the Spa. The monorail which arrives adjacent to the lobby will whisk visitors off to the Magic Kingdom® Park and Epcot®.Guests staying at this resort are eligible for the complimentary Disney's Magical Express service, so you don’t need to worry about arranging transfers and can start enjoying your holiday sooner. Coaches pick up guests at Orlando International Airport and drop off at Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels. Guests arriving at the airport between 5am and 10pm will have their bags collected from the baggage claim and be delivered straight to their rooms. If guests arrive outside of these hours, then unfortunately this service is not available, so guests must collect their bags from baggage claim and take them on the coach with them.

The guestrooms at the Grand Floridian are tastefully decorated in muted colours with pale-wood armoires, Victorian accents, and marble topped sinks. There are 867 rooms surround by tropical landscaped gardens situated around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Guestrooms are well equipped with coffeemakers, safety deposit boxes, and hairdryers. Most rooms have balconies from which guests can enjoy the panoramic views. Please note that all guestrooms (including room patios and balconies) are non-smoking.

Dining


For fine dining guests need to reserve their table at the Victoria & Albert restaurant, which serves an exquisite seven-course menu that is customized daily. The intimate dining room is open for dinner only and seats just 53 diners. A harpist sets the ambiance playing for guests each evening.
Citricos is an upscale restaurant offering Mediterranean inspired cuisine in a beautifully decorated dinning room. There is an open kitchen so guests can see the chefs at work on a great choice of modern and flavourful dishes. A private glass walled dining room is also available, and can be reserved for just ten guests. 1900 Park Fare is a buffet style restaurant offering a vast range of dishes. Choices include prime rib, hot and cold seafood, salads, and accompaniments. There is also a children’s buffet serving hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and pasta.
For causal dining the Grand Floridian Café offers classic dishes alongside traditional favourites. It is located overlooking the courtyard and pool. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Garden View Lounge offers high tea for three hours every afternoon for guests to indulge themselves. Cocktails are served here from late afternoon onwards to the sounds of a grand piano.
Other dining options include Mizner’s which is an intimate bar serving specialties including cognacs, ports, and the Gasperilla Grill & Games Bar which is open for 24 hour counter service. The Summerhouse serves snacks and drinks from a great poolside location.
