The option of combining a city break with a beach holiday is a very popular choice with holidaymakers. This two-centre holiday to New York City and Cancun, Mexico pairs one of the best city break destinations in the world with one of the most popular beach resorts in North America. Sounds like the perfect match to us!
You’ll start your holiday in New York, this city has so much to offer visitors, there is always something to see or do. Spend the day marvelling at artistic masterpieces at The Met and Guggenheim Museums. Take the Staten Island Ferry and sail past the Statue of Liberty. Visit Ellis Island and discover the history of America’s immigrants who flocked from the four corners of the globe to make a fresh start in the new world. Take the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building for breath-taking views over the city, alternatively visit the Observatory at the top of the One World Centre downtown in the financial district for a different perspective on the city’s skyline.
After as many of New York’s museums, galleries, attractions and restaurants as you can fit in, it will be time to kick back and relax in Cancun, Mexico. Cancun’s reputation as a world-class beach holiday destination is well deserved. The pristine white sand and crystal azure waters of Cancun’s beaches are picture perfect.
Arguably the best coral reef diving in the world is found around this Caribbean paradise. Water sports are a popular activity and all levels of experience are catered for, from beginners who want to try snorkelling, to experienced reef and wreck divers. Aside from the beaches and water sports Cancun is also known for its vibrant and energetic nightlife. You will find numerous clubs, bars and cocktail lounges to experience during your stay.
New York - Go down town to Battery Park have a drink at Battery Gardens, the view is amazing. I felt like a tourist looking at the statue of liberty, Ellis and Govenors Island. Watching all the boats go by was great fun.
Cancun - The Chac Mool Beach is a secret beach, it is almost in front of Señor Frogs there is a secret hallway where at the end you will find the beach!
