This holiday of a lifetime to Western Canada includes stays in vibrant Vancouver and picturesque Victoria before leaving British Columbia for Yukon where you can explore the Whitehorse area and witness the dazzling phenomenon that is the Northern Lights.
You’ll begin your holiday to Canada in Vancouver, a bustling cosmopolitan city where visitors can enjoy bike rides through Stanley Park, indulge in their foodie dreams at Granville Island, take a whale watching trip, visit the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge Park or take a trip out to the nearby mountain resort town of Whistler. From Vancouver, its a short trip on to Victoria, an island city where outdoor lovers will be in their element. Cycling is for sure the best way to get around the city, as you discover Victoria’s vast network of bays, coves, beaches and lakes.
Then it’s back to Vancouver from where you will fly north to the Yukon capital of Whitehorse for three days. Your days will be spent exploring the city of Whitehorse, a former gold rush settlement nestled at the foot of the mountains. You also have the option to partake in optional activities such as dogsledding, ice fishing, flightseeing or snowshoeing in Yukon. Each night you will be brought to a prime Northern Lights viewing spot. Gather around the roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, have tea and hot chocolate and chat with local guides while waiting for the dazzling blue, green and red spectacle of the Northern Lights to reveal themselves.
