Explore two of the most popular holiday destinations in America

Experience the bright lights, casinos and nightlife of Las Vegas before kicking back and relaxing on the tropical beaches of Mexico at a luxurious all-inclusive resort.

The Las Vegas Strip is famous for its opulent casinos. Try a hand at the blackjack table of the MGM Grand or roll the dice at a roulette table in The Venetian. The luxury hotels on the Strip are a tourist attraction in themselves, check out the fountains, take a gondola ride or see a firework display. Las Vegas offers so much to see and experience away from the casinos. The city is the starting point for lots of great day trips, visit the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead National Recreation Area or The Hoover Dam, all well worth a visit.

Mexico is one of the most popular beach holiday destinations in North America and its reputation is well deserved. Mexico is a tropical paradise; the powdery white sand and clear waters of Mexico’s beaches are picture perfect. Scuba divers and snorkelers flock to the region, which offers some of the best coral reef diving in the world. Las Vegas- If you are going to see a show, see ABSINTHE at Caesars. It is absolutely amazing! For a great restaurant, the Venetian has a place called Grand Lux Cafe. It offers everything and it’s delicious.

Las Vegas – Get the monorail down to Fremont Street at night and experience old Vegas. Its home to some of Vegas old casinos, wedding chapels, and the famous Vegas Vic and Vegas Vicky neon cowboy and cowgirl signs. Fremont Street has some lively bars where food and drink is cheaper than the strip. It has plenty of street performers and buskers and it is a great place to people watch. A nice alternative to the big shows, clubs and casinos of the strip.

Cancun – Make sure your snorkel or dive tour includes a visit to The Silent Evolution near Isla Mujeres. Mine only included a stop at The Gardener of Hope near Punta Nizuc, and while as nifty and as uplifting an experience that may sound, it’s not quite as impressive as the 400+ statues you’ll see near Isla Mujeres.

Cancun – Tequila is to Mexico vacations as deep-dish pizza is to Chicago – it’s just one of those things you have to experience on its native soil. If you want to find out more, head over to the Tequila Herradura Sensory Museum.
