  • Day 1-2 Charlotte

    Arrive Charlotte and transfer independently to your Hotel. American Airlines operate a seasonal direct service in the summer months from Dublin to Charlotte so this is a great starting point for your journey. Drive to your hotel for your first night at leisure to see the sights and enjoy the nightlife. The energy of the Charlotte region may have been sparked by its racing roots, but restaurants, craft breweries, nightlife and culture keep fueling the excitement in North Carolina's largest city. Visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame to explore behind-the-scenes exhibits and/or head to the Charlotte Motor Speedway where you can experience the full effect of a track with a ride-around.

  • Day 3 Bristol

    Begin your journey on route 181 which takes you through Blowing Rock and across the scenic Grandfather Mountain area to the “Birthplace of Country Music! Bristol (3.5 hours – 168 miles/270 km) a town that sits on the border of both Tennessee and Virginia. See the Birthplace of Country Music Museum an affiliate of the Smithsonian institution which tells the story of the 1927 Bristol Session recordings, explores how evolving sound technology shaped their success and highlights how this rich musical heritage lives on in today’s music. Walk the state line in downtown Bristol!

  • Day 4-5 Nashville

    Travel to Music City USA, Nashville (300 miles/4.5 hours). Music is intricately woven into every fabric of the community and no matter what visitors choose to experience while in the city, they will be treated to world-class live entertainment. Where else can you hear such diverse sounds as Americana, country, rockabilly, jazz, blues, classical, rock n’roll and gospel? Don’t miss the major attractions like the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium.

  • Day 6 Nashville – Lynchburg – Huntsville

    Visit Lynchburg enroute to Huntsville (72 miles/1.5 hours). When most people think of Lynchburg, Tennessee, one immediately thinks of the Jack Daniel Distillery which is the oldest distillery in the USA and definitely worth a visit but make sure you don’t’ miss out on the many other things to do and see while you are here. A walk around Historic Lynchburg Square is like stepping back in time and the unique shops and restaurants in restored buildings, as well as the historic Courthouse are just a few of the things that will remind you of an earlier time. No visit is complete without stopping by Miss Mary Bobo’s Boarding House for an amazing home-cooked meal. Travel on to Huntsville (48 miles/1 hour). See the U.S Space and Rocket Center, an amazing space museum located in the citry that made the rockets that sent men to the moon during the U.S space race. This is also the location of Space Camp, a several day experience for children from all around the World

  • Day 7-8 Muscle Shoals - Florence

    Travel to Florence/Muscle Shoals (73 miles/1.5 hours) The Muscle Shoals area of Alabama was called the “hit recording capital of the world” after Aretha Franklin, Percy Sledge and The Rolling Stones came to record some of their biggest songs. Tour FAME studios, visit the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and go hear live music in the woods at the Rattlesnake Saloon. Members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd band recorded in Muscle Shoals between 1970 and 1972 and went on to write “Sweet Home Alabama” which is a worldwide hit and town favourite. It’s good to note that the W.C. Handy, Music Festival (known as “Father of the Blues”) is an annual event that takes place in the Shoals in the last week of July.

  • Day 9-10 Birmingham

    Travel to Birmingham (115 miles/2 hours). Visit the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame. In the evening, hear live music at any number of the cities nightlife establishments. Ona’s Music Room and the Saturday night only Gip’s Place are some popular stops. Gip’s Place is one of the last true Juke Joints in America. Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Ona Watson operates Ona’s Place. A must see is the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute on 16th Street. The Lyric Theatre is a historical gem from the past, where Mae West and the Marx Brothers performed. Great food, outdoor recreation on Red Mountain and historical sites are the other top reasons to visit.

  • Day 11-12 Atlanta

    Today you begin your journey to Atlanta (150 miles/2.5 hours). Known as the New York of the South, Atlanta is one of the largest cities in the Southern States and the Capital city of Georgia. Major attractions await you such as the World of Coca Cola, the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Zoo and Inside CNN Studio tour. Why not save money and purchase an Atlanta City Pass which will save you up to 43% on admissions to these attractions? Atlanta is also the home of the Presidential library and Museum of U.S President Jimmy Carter.
