San Francisco-The world famous Mavericks surfing contest is held just south of Half Moon Bay, about 1 hour outside of SF, every year. You can watch the incredible athletes who surf these 50 foot waves. The contest is held with only 24 hours' notice depending on ocean conditions. It is a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Your Adventure...

San Francisco
  • Day 1-3 Seattle

Arrive Seattle and transfer independently to your hotel. The evening is at your leisure to explore your surroundings and explore the many dining options in this beautiful waterfront city. We would suggest a walk down by the waterfront in the evening before you turn in for the night.

A must see in Seattle is the Space Needle Tower. Built in 1962, the Space Needle served as the symbol for the World’s Fair. Standing at 605 feet (184 meters) high it offers amazing views in every direction and is home to world-class dining at Sky City which is a revolving restaurant located 500 feet (153 meters) above ground.
Chihuly Garden and Glass. Dale Chihuly is a glass artist and a native of Tacoma Seattle. His permanent exhibition of Garden and glass is a place where curiosity, creativity and colour come to life. Throughout the Galleries, ever-changing Garden and signature Glasshouse, you’ll be inspired by this internationally acclaimed artist and his innovation and passion with the most comprehensive collection of his artwork found in the world. No visit would be complete without taking in the hive of activities and food culture located at Pike Place Market, the nation’s oldest farmer’s market.

  • Day 4-9 Honolulu

Check out of your hotel and transfer independently to the Airport for your onward flight to Honolulu. Arrive and transfer independently to your hotel in Waikiki. This afternoon is at your leisure to explore your surroundings.

Time to relax and enjoy your surroundings. You will have plenty of time to venture beyond Waikiki. Visit the historic Aloha tower for spectacular views of Honolulu. Take a trip to Oahu’s scenic eastern tip to go snorkelling at Hanauma Bay or get away to the countryside and visit the surfers paradise of the North Shore. Once there, watch the pro surfers during the winter big wave season at legendary spots like Waimea Bay then eat like a local in charming Haleiwa Town.
For a lovely contrast to lively Waikiki, travel to the fertile Windward Coast and explore Kalua Beach and off the beaten path wonders like the Valley of the Temples.
If you like to be active, we would recommend to do the classic Oahu hike and walk to the top of the beautiful lookout on Diamond Head.

  • Day 10-13 San Francisco

On arrival in San Francisco, transfer independently to your hotel and check in for your 3 night stay.

Get up close and personal with the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island on a bay cruise. In the evening, may we suggest a pre-dinner cocktail at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room, accompanied by dazzling views of the city, and followed by dinner at one of the many restaurants in the Union Square area.
Take a hop-on, hop-off bus tour, it really does give a great overview of the city Union Square, Chinatown and the famous Painted Ladies on Alamo Square are only a few of the landmarks on the itinerary.
San Francisco invites you to walk like no other city. The area south of Market Street – SOMA –is one of the city’s most vibrant areas, with sleek nightclubs, fashionable restaurants and a host of cultural and historical institutions.
Walk down to the city’s waterfront, the Embarcadero, and make sure to stop by the Ferry Building, an indoor/outdoor market dedicated to the culinary arts. In the city where California cuisine was born, the Ferry Building is a veritable food heaven showcasing the best Bay Area products. Culinary enthusiasts shop here for the finest artisan ingredients, and diners flock here to savour a meal at one of the chic or casual eateries.
Ride the Cable cars from Fisherman’s Wharf to Union Square.
