New York & Boston in Summer

3 NIGHTS New York • 3 NIGHTS Boston

Visit two of America’s most famous cities on this incredible holiday to East Coast USA. Many of New York’s most famous visitor attractions are very familiar to us but nothing compares to seeing them first hand. Take the Staten Island Ferry and sail past Liberty Island. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close is a very different experience to seeing it on TV. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the West Village, where the NYC street grid is suspended and bohemian culture, art, music and funky restaurants thrive. New York has so much to offer, there is always something to see or do.
The historic university city of Boston beats with a youthful heart and is surely one of the friendliest cities in America. Boston is the perfect city to explore on foot, dotted with hip and trendy neighbourhoods, modern sky scrapers and historic monuments all within easy walking distance of one another. One great way to explore Boston is to follow the Freedom Trail. Starting at Boston Common the 2.5-mile (4km) trail links 16 historic sights associated with the early struggle for freedom from British control and the events leading up to the American revolution.

Staff Tips

Boston is very easy to walk around, but when your feet get tired make a beeline for the Boston Library on Copley Square – not only is it incredibly interesting, it’s an oasis of calm in this busy city – the Courtyard Café in the central quadrangle is a great place to have lunch or a coffee.

New York-Don't just confine yourself to the shopping meccas of SoHo and Fifth Avenue, though each does have its own New York charm — SoHo for its beautiful 19th-century cast iron buildings and Fifth Avenue for its elegant department stores and proximity to Central Park.
