Enjoy some of Boston’s most famous sights that takes you along the Freedom Trail. Heading west to Stockbridge you will visit the Normal Rockwell Museum and then drive through the stunning rolling hills of Berkshire to the beautiful college town of Williamstown. Journey through the legendary fall foliage of Vermont on day 3 and spend two nights in Stowe in the famous Trapp Family Lodge, owned by the family who inspired the classical musical ‘The Sound of Music’. Journey to New Hampshire’s White Mountains and ride the aerial tramway offering superb panoramic views. Stops along the way include like a visit to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and a visit to Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill.

Upon leaving New Hampshire’s glorious fall foliage, enter the deep green pine forests of western Maine and enjoy stunning views of the Maine coastline. Stay at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel, and enjoy a celebration “lobsta” dinner served at a harbourside restaurant. On the final day continue to the charming seaside village of Rockport on Cape Anne before heading to Boston.

  • Welcome to Boston! On arrival at Boston Logan International Airport, there is a transfer to your tour downtown hotel. Maybe take a stroll to Downtown Crossing or historic Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Later, gather with your Tour Director for a Welcome Reception, and an opportunity to mingle and get to know each other over a pleasant evening of dinner and wine.

  • Discover some of Boston’s most famous sights as your Tour Director takes you along the Freedom Trail. Then enjoy the colourful scenery as you travel west to Stockbridge for a visit to the Norman Rockwell Museum, the largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art. Next, travel through the stunning rolling hills of the Berkshires to your hotel in the beautiful college town of Williamstown.

  • Leave Massachusetts to journey through the legendary fall foliage of Vermont. Visit The Apple Barn Country Bake Shop and taste fresh cider in the making. After a photo stop at Quechee Gorge, visit the Rockefeller's renowned Billings Farm and Museum, a working dairy and farm life museum. Next is the quintessential Vermont village of Woodstock with its picturesque covered bridge. There is time to stroll the quaint streets before heading to Stowe, Vermont. It was the breathtaking alpine setting that attracted the Von Trapp family of ‘The Sound of Music' fame when they arrived from Austria in the late 1940s and built this wonderful hideaway. At tonight's Highlight Dinner, each of the three inspired courses are perfectly paired with a lager tasting from your resort's on-site microbrewery.

  • Today, enjoy beautiful scenery ablaze with fall colours and views of Vermont's tallest peak, Mount Mansfield. Return to the charming town of Stowe where the rest of the day is free to wander the quaint streets, hike in the woods, or enjoy your lodge's amenities.

  • Near Montpelier, visit Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks and taste a Vermont tradition: ‘sugar on snow'–maple syrup served with a doughnut and pickle. Then head for New Hampshire's White Mountains and enter Franconia Notch. Get your cameras ready for a ride on the aerial tramway offering superb panoramic views. Later, journey through the dazzling crimson and orange hues of the famed Kancamagus Scenic Byway to North Conway.

  • This morning, enjoy an interpretive presentation by a naturalist on the North Woods' wildlife and ecology. Then, more spectacular fall foliage awaits as you journey through Crawford Notch. Stop for pictures at the Silver Cascade Waterfall and Bretton Woods, offering stunning views of Mount Washington, the tallest peak in the northeast at 6,288 feet (1,917 metres). Return to your hotel where the evening is at leisure.

  • Relaxed Start) Leaving New Hampshire's glorious fall foliage, enter the deep green pine forests of western Maine. At charming Kennebunkport, travel along Ocean Drive with stunning views of the Maine coastline and the homes of Kennebunkport's rich and famous, including the summer retreat of former President George H.W. Bush. Browse the many galleries and shops, or walk along the waterfront before continuing to charming and historic Portland. In the evening, enjoy a Celebration Dinner at a local restaurant collaborating with local farms and fisheries to provide a farm-to-table experience.

  • Continue south to the charming seaside village of Rockport on Cape Ann.
