  • Day 1 Arrival in Memphis

    On arrival into Memphis, you may proceed to the Alamo Rental location in order to pick up your rental car and transfer to your nominated hotel for your overnight stay. You have the evening at your own leisure.

  • Day 2 Memphis

    Start in Memphis where you can visit Graceland, Elvis’ home. That night visit Beale Street for great restaurants and live music including BB King’s Blues Club. Memphis is renowned as home of the Blues and the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll. The city on the mighty Mississippi River is resurgent and there is plenty for visitors to do from the restored riverfront, home of the American Queen, to the bars and clubs of Beale Street and midtown. Memphis Must Sees are Graceland, Sun Studio, Rock’n’Soul Museum Stax Museum and Civil Rights Museum and Beale Street Overnight Memphis.

  • Day 3 Memphis to Florence/Muscle Shoals

    Travel to Tupelo, Mississippi (2 hours, 110 miles) on your way to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In Tupelo see where Elvis Presley was born and grew up. Visit his small shotgun childhood home, an impressive museum and the hardware store where he bought his first guitar. The two room shotgun house he was born in will seem amazing, in view of Graceland. Also visit the Natchez Trace Visitor Center where early New Deal cottages from the depression have been rebuilt. If in case, you need anything to eat here, Romie’s Grocery Store (a restaurant) has Southern comfort food and Johnnie’s Drive Inn has featured a dough burger since 1945. The self-guided tour takes you around many of the most significant locations in Elvis’ life in Tupelo. Then it’s back on the road to visit the four adjacent small Alabama towns of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia and Sheffield (1:50 hours, 90 miles), better known as Muscle Shoals – The Hit Capital of the World.   • Day 4 Florence/Muscle Shoals

    You are now in Muscle Shoals, the most southern leg of the major recording centers in our music triangle. It is here that the Muscle Shoals Sound was born. Visit FAME Recording Studios and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to learn how Muscle Shoals became the Hit Recording Capital of the World in the 1960s and where Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart and other artist from around the world came to this small southern town to record. Also see the birthplace and museums of both Helen Keller, political activist and the first deaf blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree; and W.C. Handy, “Father of the Blues.” Overnight: Florence/Muscle Shoals

  • Day 5 Florence/Muscle Shoals

    There are many annual events in the Muscle Shoals area which attract numerous visitors each year. Many visitors return to the area year after year to experience and participate in these annual events such as the , W.C. Handy Music Festival, The Helen Keller Festival, Alabama Renaissance Fair, and many holiday season events. Surrounded by Pickwick Lake, Wilson Lake, and Wheeler Lake, Muscle Shoals offers some of the best fishing opportunities in the State. Overnight: Florence/Muscle Shoals

  • Day 6 Florence/Muscle Shoals to Nashville

    Travel to Nashville (2:20 hours, 120 miles). This is the 3rd of the southern recording towns. Nashville is not “country & western” but the modern, cosmopolitan and affluent capital city of Tennessee. Nashville is famous for the Grand Ole Opry – the mother church of Country music – but has emerged as a dynamic music city producing the likes of Jack White and Kings of Leon of late. .   • Day 7 Nashville

    Dance to your own beat in Nashville Tenessee. Not only enriched with a musical culture, Nashville is a foodie destination rich with trendy hotspots. Artistic energy flows, bearing witness to the powerful influence of lyric and melody. Get into the essence of it at one of 120-plus venues including The Basement, Marathon Music Works and The Bluebird Café.The wealth of Nashville’s downtown nightlife begins with Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and Ernest Tubb Record Shop. While you’re downtown, gather inspiration from the First Center for Visual Arts.
