The Cape has great beaches to keep your family happy for hours on end but there are also so many more activities you can enjoy. For those that like to keep active and enjoy the outdoors, cycle the Cape Cod Rail trail. This trail follows a former railroad right of way for 22 miles through small Island towns. You can hop on and off the trail and still be right next to the beach.
A great family favourite is a Whale watching activity available from many locations throughout the cape. These cruises with take you to the migration routes of these incredible sea creatures to witness them in their own environment.
Chatham is a very quaint seaside town on the south east tip of the Cape. It’s well known for its beautiful beaches and its landmark lighthouse but it also has a really good railroad Museum which exhibits model trains and artifacts dating from 1887.
