Boston for St. Patricks Day

4 NIGHTS Boston

This holiday to Massachusetts brings you to Boston, one of America’s oldest cities, steeped in history yet lively and youthful thanks to a vibrant student population. Boston has long held a special connection with Ireland therefore where better to go for St. Patrick’s Day 2019?

Boston is a compact city, an eclectic mix of historic monuments and modern skyscrapers interspersed with bohemian neighbourhoods. Boston is the perfect city to explore on foot with most of the major attractions within easy walking distance of one another. Boston Common holds the distinction of being the oldest park in America and is the starting point of the Freedom Trail, a 2.5-mile (4km) trail that links 16 historic sights associated with America’s early struggle for freedom from British control. A great way to discover the city is to follow the trail and uncover the events leading up to, and including, the American revolution.

Cambridge lies just across the Charles River from Boston and is a city in its own right. Two of the most well-known universities in the world, Harvard University and MIT, are found in Cambridge. The area is full of trendy bars, hip cafes and interesting shops and restaurants just waiting to be explored. Soak up the atmosphere with a stroll around the historic Harvard campus, visit the Peabody Museum of archaeology or simply have a coffee on Harvard Square and enjoy some time people watching.
