A great way to see the city is by boat; many river boats operate like tour buses with some fantastic ‘hop on, hop off‘ stops. If you are on a family holiday to Chicago, the Six Flags Great America is a must visit for children of all ages. It features some of the most exciting theme park rides in America and the kids will love meeting their favourite comic book heroes!

Chicago-Definitely take a walk at the University of Chicago campus it's beautiful. I don't think it's a must do thing, but definitely well worth it. Since you are planning on going to Science and Industry might as well hit up the University of Chicago.
