Cancun is one of the most popular beach holiday destinations in North America and its reputation is well deserved. Cancun is a Caribbean paradise; the powdery white sand and clear waters of Cancun’s beaches are picture perfect.
Arguably the best coral reef diving in the world is found around this Caribbean paradise. Water sports are a popular activity and all levels of experience are catered for, from beginners who want to try snorkelling, to experienced reef and wreck divers. Aside from the beaches and water sports Cancun is also known for its vibrant and energetic nightlife. You will find numerous clubs, bars and cocktail lounges to experience during your stay.
Cancun-Make sure your snorkel or dive tour includes a visit to The Silent Evolution near Isla Mujeres. Mine only included a stop at The Gardener of Hope near Punta Nizuc, and while as nifty and as uplifting an experience that may sound, its not quite as impressive as the 400+ statues youll see near Isla Mujeres.
Cancun-Located on Isla Mujeres. Its small, its uncrowded, its woefully low on signage, but theres plenty of opportunity to get up close with turtles of all ages, shapes, and sizes. There are even some albino turtles and a few poor wounded souls whiling out their days in a tank out back, its only 30 pesos ( $3 USD) to get in, and it looks like its going to a much needed cause.
Cancun-Check out the Casa de Las Iguanas towards the left-hand side of the front entrance. Its basically just a pile of rocks, but it houses a small army of iguanas.
