Today New England’s small, lesser-known breweries are producing delicious, innovative and inspired brews, known among beer aficionados as some of the finest craft beer in the country. From Boston’s historic streets, to the breathtaking beauty of Maine’s rocky coastline and the awe-inspiring mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont, the holy grail of craft beer can be found throughout New England.

Boston-The South Street Diner is open all night every night - from 5 pm till 5 am. The diner features a regular dinner menu along with burgers, sandwiches, subs, wraps and some great breakfasts served all night long. Beer and wine are available and one of the specialties of the house is a "Desserts of the 50's" menu featuring sweets that might conjure up memories of Arnold's Drive-In on “Happy Days”.

  • Day 1 Arrival in Boston

Check-in to hotel and this evening and mingle with other group members at a meet and greet reception hosted by our guide, a beer aficionado and destination specialist. We’ll be given an introduction to our 7-day exploration of the New England coast and celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, all set as a backdrop to the region’s finest craft breweries.
    Hotel: Boston Aloft Boston Seaport

  • Day 2 Boston

This morning we’ll take an orientation tour of Boston’s historic Freedom Trail, architecturally significant Back Bay, and bustling waterfront. Boston continues to be an important centre of commerce, technology, and the arts for both the region and the country—as well as craft beer. We’ll begin the afternoon with a visit to the Grand-daddy of the craft brew movement in America—the Boston Beer Co., makers of Sam Adams. While some may argue it’s no longer a craft brewery, the tour and specialty tastings are worth the visit. From the big to the small. Sam Adams kicked off a proliferation of craft breweries in the area. We’ll tour and taste brews from some of the newest microbreweries in the city.
    Hotel: Boston Aloft Boston Seaport
OPTIONAL: Boston’s other craft brewery hosts a pairing dinner to celebrate the city’s heritage of freshly caught seafood and even more freshly made beer

  • Day 3 Boston-Portsmouth-Ogunquit (78mi/126km)

We head north to Portsmouth, a port city with cobblestoned streets, a downtown filled with charming shops and restaurants, significant examples of Colonial, Georgian, and Federal style houses, and brewers who continue New England’s rich beer-making history. And like a true New Englander, the beers brewed here are approachable, dependable and impervious to trends. After a tour and tastings we’ll continue along the coast to Ogunquit, a popular beach resort whose name means “beautiful place by the sea”.
    Hotel: Ogunquit Meadowmere Resort
OPTIONAL: Tonight, enjoy an inventive dinner menu to match a selection of beers that would make any beer geek proud.

  • Day 4 Ogunquit—Portland—Ogunquit (75mi/121km)

Start the day with a walk on the Marginal Way, a mile-long, paved foot path along the rocky coast with picture-perfect views worthy of any photography book.
In Freeport, there’ll be free time at world-famous outdoor outfitter L.L. Bean for some Christmas shopping before visiting Portland.
This afternoon we’ll travel to Portland, ranked #1 craft beer city in the world by Matador Network. With a population of 200,000, this “old” city with a young vibe is home to 19 craft brewing companies and an additional 15 craft brew pubs. We’ll tour that interpret historic styles with unique twists. We’ll return to Ogunquit where the evening is free to explore the village, take a walk along the beach and enjoy the local restaurants.
    Hotel: Ogunquit Meadowmere Resort

  • Day 5 Ogunquit—Plymouth (111mi/179km)

It’s Thanksgiving Day and we travel to “America’s hometown”, Plymouth. Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at Plymouth Plantation, where Pilgrim role players and Native interpreters host us. We’ll also visit the Mayflower II, Wampanoag Homesite, and 17th century English village.
    Hotel: Ogunquit Meadowmere Resort

  • Day 6 Plymouth—Wrentham—Plymouth

It’s Black Friday and the sales begin.
We’ll transfer to Wrentham Village Premium Outlets. With 170 outlet stores from high-end boutique and department stores to everyday clothing and electronic offerings, all your Christmas shopping can be completed here.
Hotel: Plymouth John Carver Inn & Spa
OPTIONAL: A final night dinner will include pairings from Plymouth’s local brewery. In 1620, the water couldn’t be trusted, so it was beer that quenched the Pilgrim thirst - as it will ours.

  • Day 7 Plymouth—Boston

Today we transfer to Boston this morning where we’ll have free time at Faneuil Hall Marketplace before departing for the Airport for your return flight home.
