Definitely one for the food lovers, the Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour is a glimpse into the blend of culture and cuisine of San Francisco. Stroll amongst the cafes and bakeries of North Beach, San Francisco's own Little Italy.

North Beach awakens your senses, from the cafes and restaurants, to the smell of fresh-baked bread in the air. Discover quaint shops with crafts and ceramics from around the world. Delve into North Beach life as you join family bakers kneading love into every loaf of bread. Just when you think you have reached food heaven, you'll come across coffee shops which roast fresh coffee beans daily. And if that was not enough, you will uncover authentic Italian cathedrals where hundreds of couples have felt their heartstrings tug!

And, as you taste everything from great coffee, truffles, breads, olive oil, specialty meats, and more, you'll learn how the food is made and what to look for back home.

This is a wonderful tour of about 3 hours. It's very personal, up close, and the guide has a great sense of humor and tons of knowledge about the area. He's also closely connected with the locals and has the best hook ups on coffee shops and restaurants. I happen to go early Jan when it was pouring rain and I still had a great time. Well worth it if you want to experience the North Beach like a true local!

What a totally fun tour! We were not expecting to eat so much food but it was all terrific and well worth the bloated tummies afterward. warning - Go Hungry!! Every one of the stops was at a terrific establishment, most there for 75 years and with unforgettable food. Tour guide, Tom, was interesting and a lifelong resident of the neighborhood which made for good information. I just wish they offered similar tours on other cities.

Blandina was our guide and she was most enjoyable. She has lived in the area for many years and knows and loves it. We had many diverse bites of fabulous food, met great artisans and locals, and learned some of the history of the area. She made it come alive!

This is an excellent, fun, informative, plus a delicious day tour. Our tour guide, the lovely Blondini is a wonderful, lady who knows the area and gave us a great number of hours touring a wonderful area in San Francisco. There was no moment that Blondini did not let us know what we are viewing or where we where going. This is a 1st class tour of a great area in a magnificent city in the USA. Please check it out!!

Tourguide was SF and North Beach local who really knew his stuff. It was clear he keeps his contacts and knowledge of the area current which made us feel right at home throughout the tour. The stops were all delicious. A terrific combination of the wonky heritage of the artists and beats and the Italian heritage of San Francisco.

Highly recommended at the price.
