While you’re in Montreal, don’t miss a chance to see some of Canada’s best wildlife on an exhilarating whale-watching cruise! You’ll travel by road along the scenic St Lawrence River past Quebec City to reach Rivière-du-Loup, where you’ll board your cruise boat for an exciting escapade to look for whales, belugas, seals and other marine life. The fabulous scenery is just a bonus on this adventurous day trip from Montreal.

Rivière-du-Loup, a favorite destination for nature-lovers and a 5-hour drive from Montreal, is renowned for its luxuriant landscape. A bus tour to Rivière-du-Loup and a whale-watching cruise makes a fabulous day trip from Montreal. You’ll travel there in comfort aboard a deluxe coach, admiring the beautiful scenery along the St Lawrence River. Enjoy a light breakfast en route.

You’ll then board the AML Levant boat and cruise from the south shore of the St Lawrence for an exciting encounter with whales, seals and belugas! Aboard the boat, soak up the fresh air, and become engrossed by the beauty of the rugged coast, the islands and the traditional lighthouses. The AML Levant is fully stabilized and offers an on-board bistro and both outdoor and indoor observation decks, so you are ensured a comfortable voyage. A boxed lunch is included.

As you cruise through the water and the Saguenay–St Lawrence Marine Park, a certified naturalist-guide will narrate your whale-watching journey, and binocular rentals will be available. Grab a snack at the bistro and bar while you enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean and the whales. Truly an extraordinary rendezvous with the beautiful nature of eastern Canada!

At the end of the day, head back to Montreal, and stop at a restaurant for dinner along the way.

The tour guide was great. The food was great. There were many whales to be seen, however I did not see any more than their fins and sometimes their tales when they dove. This boat does not take you very close to the whales. I would recommend this trip for your first time whale watching. It was a great experience and definitely worth the five hour drive!

it's not a "Full-day" whale watching but only 3 hours for the Cruise and 10 hours with a bus!
