Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and transfer by complimentary shuttle bus to your hotel.

Day 2

Los Angeles - Palm Springs

 

Hotel: Best Western Inn Palm Springs

This morning at 08:00 hours you will be met by your AmericanTours representative and provided with a welcome kit including driving instructions, vouchers, maps and brochures of the places you are about to visit. Once you have picked up your rental car, it is a very short drive to Anaheim, the home of Disneyland. In the afternoon continue to the desert resort of Palm Springs.

Day 3

Palm Springs - Needles - Laughlin

 

Hotel: The Aquarius

Begin your day with a visit of Joshua Tree National Park. Then continue by Needles to Laughlin, Nevada’s newly discovered entertainment resort located on the Colorado River.

Day 4

Laughlin - Williams

 

Hotel: Quality Inn Flagstaff

This morning you will travel along a bit of American legend, old Route 66. Between Kingman and Seligman is one of the best preserved stretches of this historic highway. Stop at Grand Canyon Caverns and descend through nearly a mile of colorful mineral formations. Then continue to Williams, gateway to the Grand Canyon.

Wiliams - Grand Canyon National Park - Lake Powell

This morning you will experience the grandeur and beauty of the Grand Canyon, one of the world’s natural wonders. Then continue northeast by the old trading post of Cameron and through the Navajo Indian Reservation to Lake Powell with its spectacular scenery.

Day 6

Lake Powell - Bryce Canyon national Park

 

Hotel: Bryce View Lodge

Cross the border into the Mormon State of Utah and see Bryce Canyon National Park, renowned for some of the earth’s most colorful erosion formations.

Day 7

Bryce Canyon National Park - Zion National Park - Las Vegas

This morning, continue to Zion National Park before you cross into Nevada and drive through the desert to the glittering jewel and entertainment capital, Las Vegas.

Day 8

Day 9

Las Vegas - Death Valley - Fresno

Begin your day with a visit to Death Valley National Park, the lowest point in the western hemisphere. Continue via the Panamint Mountains past Ridgecrest to Visalia/Fresno.

Day 10

Fresno - San Francisco

An early start to visit Yosemite National Park, renowned for its sheer granite faces, cascading waterfalls (in season), and pine forests. Journey to the magnificent forest of coastal redwoods in Muir Woods, then cross the Golden Gate Bridge to arrive in the City by the Bay, San Francisco.

San Francisco

You have a full day at leisure to experience the many sights of this beautiful city. See Chinatown, the Japan Center, the Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf. Other attractions include the Cable Car Museum or Alcatraz.

Day 12

San Francisco - Monterey/Carmel - Santa Maria

Depart San Francisco for the scenic Monterey Peninsula. Visit Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf with its many restaurants, shops, and galleries. Drive along spectacular 17-Mile Drive to charming Carmel. Then continue south by Big Sur on Highway 1, where you will experience some of the most incredible coastal scenery in America. Overnight in Santa Maria.

Day 13

Santa Maria - Solvang - Santa Barbara - Los Angeles

Leave Santa Maria and make a short visit to the Danish town of Solvang en route to one of California’s favorite vacation spots: Santa Barbara, where palm tree walkways border white sandy beaches. The city is famous for its old mission and Spanish heritage. Spend a leisurely day exploring Santa Barbara before making a short journey south for your overnight hotel.
