Tucked into the heart of the USA, the ‘Mount
Rushmore State’ offers untouched nature
in abundance, vast stretches of fertile prairies
and early pioneer towns. The state is bisected
by the Missouri River running north to south.
East of the Missouri, the state is extremely flat
with endless grasslands and gently rolling prairies
Near the eastern border, Sioux Falls is the largest
city in the region. On the opposite side of the
State, Rapid City is the gateway to the Black
Hills, Its unique rock formations and mysterious
caverns, demonstrated by such wonders as the wind
caves and Crystal Cave Park are unprecedented.
South Dakota’s southwest corner is its biggest
tourist attraction by far, the Mount Rushmore
National Memorial. While the Southeast part of
South Dakota, is home to many lakes and three
major rivers. It is a haven for fisherman, hunters,
golfers and skiers alike.
