  MINNESOTA

Introduction

Minnesota, the second northernmost State in the USA (after Alaska), is one of the nation’s leading outdoor tourist destinations .Carved by glaciers centuries ago, the State of Minnesota is now known as the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. Eastlake Minnesota borders Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world. Westlake Minnesota is home to Bemidji, an old logging center with a historic downtown. Minnesota’s thousands of small inland lakes offer unlimited potential for camping, canoeing and fishing, while the great Lake Superior has islands, beaches and many miles of beautiful shoreline scenery

The Twin Cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota's capitals, are vibrant and alive with the cultural arts and a heavy emphasis on professional sports. The two cities have more theatres, dance companies, and concert venues per person than anywhere in the U.S., excluding New York City. America's largest shopping center, the Mall of America, is located in Bloomington. While Duluth will let you enjoy the comforts of a midsize town while remaining within gazing distance of a beautiful lakeshore.
