This enthralling day trip takes you across the Golden Gate Bridge for a view of San Francisco from Vista Point, then through the coastal mountains to the Bay Area's popular Muir Woods. This national monument is the site of a virgin forest of California Coast redwood trees, among the oldest and tallest on earth. Take the opportunity to roam through an ancient forest of giant redwood trees on your 75-minute visit of Muir Woods.
Next, it's time to take a stroll along the waterfront of quaint Mediterranean-style Sausalito, considered the prettiest village in California. You'll have 30 to 45 minutes to browse, shop and take photos at your leisure in this picturesque artists' colony nestled on the northern shores of San Francisco Bay.
Your tour also includes the ferry ride to Alcatraz Island and an audio walking tour of the "Cell Block". This former federal penitentiary was known as "The Rock" and housed gangsters such as Al Capone (Scarface) and Machine Gun Kelly. You'll learn about the famous escape from Alcatraz, the prison's notorious inmates and much more on this tour.

The driver is not permitted to assist handicapped persons due to insurance restrictions. Please note, there is a Tram providing transportation for handicapped persons on Alcatraz Island
- Buses are air-conditioned and the size of the bus depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. There are 48, 28, 39, 47 and 50 seat vehicles

Well organised and nice itinerary. Muir Woods gave time for a nice walk in park and lunch at Sausalito was a nice break. Alcatraz tour worked in well with the other tour to make a great days touring.

I've done this tour twice in 1 year, first with my husband and spent a romantic day together, then with my mom and we had a great family time. Don't forget your camera. Take a jacket to Muir Woods, it's cold! I recommend not to have lunch in Sausalito as the tour guide suggests, because the time is reduced. Alcatraz is a must-see for any tourist. Great staff, comfy bus with free wi fi and lots of fun.

Great tour. Unfortunately it was raining at the Muir Woods, but it was still spectacular. We saw a few interesting things at Sausalito, only need about an hour there to get a bite to eat and Alcatraz was amazing. We had an excellent tour guide named "Steve". He was very knowledgeable about the city and had a great sense of humour. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Loved this trip! Doug was our driver and he is simply wonderful! Very knowledgeable, personable and just a great all-around trip. Muir Woods is spectacular, Sausalito is a wonderful little shore town where we had lunch and admired the art galleries, etc., and Alcatraz was definitely a new experience! Great tour, and, again, Doug is a phenomenal driver and guide, and is this company's definite asset!!!
